Sunday crop

Well the weather was good to us in the end and we were very cosy on Sunday.  I was amazed at how we all fitted in.! I hope you all enjoyed the day.

Thanks to you all for joining in with the little extras and for your contributions to a delicious lunch.

We shall be meeting on the 14th at Rachaels ( in the evening) so if you want a place, please let her know as soon as possible.

Happy Christmas to you all and may  2011 be a good one.

Sunday 5th Crop

Those of you who had said they were coming should have recieved an e-mail  re . the crop on Sunday.

In view of the weather we have cancelled the hall in Olney as we would have to pay even if we couldn't get there.

Rachael has offered her house as a venue as it will be closer for most of you.

All other arrangements are the same.

Please try to keep your 'luggage 'down as obviously there will not be so much room..

Christmas Crop

Our christmas crop takes place at the Olney centre on Sunday 5th December. It would be lovely to see as many as possible there.  I am hoping to arrange a couple of games and maybe a tiny challenge, but of course you do not have to join in if you don't want to.

As usual it would be good if everyone could bring along a 'plate or bowl of something' so we can all enjoy a festive lunch together.

Rachael and Hannah are both doing sweet items so maybe it would be good if the rest of us could contribute something savoury ( or even healthy if you are that way inclined  ! ). Please let me know if you are coming as soon as possible and  what food you will be bringing.

We also  mentioned the gift swap at the last crop.  For those who want to join in we decided on a cost  of around £5.

Look forward to seeing you all.

SCRAP WEEKEND 2010

What a great weekend and what a lovely bunch of girls.  Thank you all for making the weekend  a true  pleasure. It  was such a tonic. Lots of laughter, eating and a few interesting and serious conversations. Oh ,and somewhere in between we managed to do some scrapping. I apologise for the dreadful photo's, they do not give credit to the wonderful LOs and books that you ladies produce.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on the 7th  November and also those who were unable to join us at the weekend..  Maybe by then  Lynseys baby will have arrived. Very inconsiderate of him not to have arrived yet!!

I'm having trouble adding the photo's, I will add some more as soon as possible.

CONGRATULATIONS to Lynsey and family on the safe arrival of Callan.x

Letting me know.

In the last few months I have had some problems with knowing if there will be enough people attending the crops to cover the price of the hall. therefore , from next month I will send 1 e-mail, 1 week before the next crop. There will be no other reminders other than the MK Scrappers blog. I just don't have the time to be chasing people up two or three times.

Anyone who has not contacted me by the Wednesday prior to the crop will not be included in the numbers.  It is also important that you do not say you are coming unless you are sure, barring emergencies, that you will be there.

By the Wednesday, if there are not enough people to cover the cost,  I will cancel the hall and those who have said they are coming will meet at mine or Rachaels' house.

It will  then be up to each person who has not contacted me to see, via the blog or by e-mail to me( I check my e-mails each day), if we are at the hall.  In  which case you will be welcome to join us.

Thanks  for your help in this.

Please see your e-mails re. October crop.

Sunday 5th Crop

The hall has been cancelled for Sunday.

Please check your e-mails.

Thursday, 26 August 2010

OOPS!!

Sorry, I forgot to post the pictures from our last crop.  Here they are ( or at least some of them ).I haven't cropped them so, please excuse the expanse of table!
.

A couple of reminders,

The October crop is on the 10th.  This is the week before our retreat but I hope to still run this as some people are not able to attend the retreat this year .  As with all monthly crops  I need to know how many are coming to be sure we can cover the cost of the hall.  Please don't say you are defineately coming (bar fire, flood  or tempest) if you are not sure. You can always check this blog to make sure we are at the hall and then can join us at the last moment. If there are only a few of us we can fit in my house or Rachaels and then nobody is out of pocket.
All donations for cakes over the next few months will be going into the fund for my daughter Lindsays' fund raising efforts for her charity run in next years London Marathon.  She has to raise at least £1300 !

Our next crop is September 5th, look forward to seeing you all then.

August crop

Please let me know by Wednesday if you will be coming to the crop on 8th August. Comment on here or e-mail.

If you are coming on the October retreat you will probably have had an e-mail from Rachael.  Just in case you have missed it.... final payment is due by the crop date.

Thank you.

Here are the results of...

todays crop. Another great day Ladies, productive and fun.  I doubt any of you will be stepping on the scales tommorow morning after all the cake that was consumed!!!

Anyway, here are some of todays LOs.

I think Hannah deserves a special mention for the above LO and a  medal for patience and perseverence.  The background paper is all totally handmade by her from seperate strips !!!

N.B.  Some of these LOs are scraplifts but I'm afraid I don't know who to credit. The Seaton Tram LO was lifted from the  UKS Home page.

Sunday crop

Well, , there were only a select few of us at the crop on Sunday but we had a good day, good cakes and good chatter. Oh, and we did some good work too ( some of which you can see here )..  I hope those who were not able to be with us are now feeling better, had good holidays and lovely cuddles with little babies. Look forward to seeing you all next month.

June crop

We will be at the Olney centre tomorrow.  We will have plenty of room as a couple have had to drop out at the last moment and it's too late to cancel the hall. There are a few I haven't heard  from so maybe they will just turn up.  Either way I'm sure we will have a good day.

Sunday, 30 May 2010

Nearly time again.

Yes, another month has almost passed and next Sunday  brings our June crop. Maybe last weeks beautiful weather allowed you to get out and about and take lots of photo's and of course with holiday season approaching there should be plenty more opportunities.

Please let me know by Wednesday evening with a  comment or e-mail if you will be coming. Of course new-comers are always welcome.

Please note that there will not be a Wednesday crop in July.

Look forward to seeing you all.

May

A little late with this posting. We had a good day last week at our monthly crop.  Familiar faces and another two new ladies. Lots of LOs and some mini books.

Thanks Hannah for the wonderful 'cloud cake'.

A group of us had a great day out yesterday on our visit to Capture the Magic. Seven of us carried on to have a delicious lunch  in a resturant by the side of the river just outside Ely.

The next Sunday crop is on June 6th. Please let me know if you will be attending by leaving a comment here or by e-mail.  I will send a reminder before Wednesday the 3rd.

Sunday Crop

Look forward to seeing you at the Olney centre.

Sarah is running an after school 'Scrap Club' and would be very grateful for donations of any bits  and bobs that you may no longer want. Please bring them along on Sunday if you are coming.  If not let me know and we can perhaps arrange for them to be collected.

New system.

Great to see some of you last Sunday. We missed some of our regulars but it was good to see a couple who haven't been able to come for a while and to welcome Michelle.

Those of you who were there will know that I have been trying to work out a sytem so that I will know roughly how many will be coming to the  Sunday crops .

You will appriciate that there needs to be sufficient numbers to cover the cost of the hall.  I realise that many of you have small children and other commitments and I certainly don't want to go down the 'pre book and pre pay ' route. So  here is what I am asking you to do.

Let me know by the Wednesday evening prior to the crop ( by e-mail or a comment on this blog )  if you are coming or not.  I will assume that anyone who has not contacted me by then will not be coming. This will allow me to cancel the hall if need be.  If there are only a few of us we can probably meet at my house.  Hopefully this will not happen as sometimes I can use money left from previous crops where the attendance was higher.

Of course if you find you can come after all, just check the blog or contact me and as long as we are using the hall you will still  be welcome to come along.

I will send an e-mail reminder a few days before the Wednesday deadline.

Here are a few LOs from  last Sunday, more to follow in later posts.  I have permission to use these on this blog.

Dates

I hope you have all enjoyed the Easter break. It was a bit chilly but at least we didn't get the amount of rain we were expecting.

As you can see I have added the dates for the Wednesday crops.  Please let Rachael know if you want to attend as space is limited.

I hope to see you all at the crop on Sunday.  Leave a message to let me know if you are coming.

We have finished our lounge, apart from finding some pictures for the wall.
Here's a little peep..

Wednesday, 24 March 2010

Check the dates.

I have added the Sunday crop dates for the rest of the year. We may need to change the October one as it is the week prior to our retreat.. It depnds  if enough people will still come to cover the price of the hall.

Wednesday crop dates will be added when I have spoken to Rachael.

If you have any news or ideas you would like put on this blog please let me know. Also, if you do visit please leave a comment to let me know.  It can get mighty lonely talking to myself!

Here's a little bit of spring for you..

Wednesday, 17 March 2010

Welcome

Here we are on our new blog. It seemed easiest now that I have swapped roles with Rachael to create a new blog.  I'm sorry if it is a pain .  I will try to post something on here at least once a week so please keep checking. Any comments, questions or replies can be posted in the comment box here or, you can e-mail me...nanacraft@hotmail.com.

The first thing I need to say is that the crop in May is now on the  9th  not the 2nd.as this is a Bank  holiday. I have  altered  this in the side column  and will  add dates for the rest of the year soon..
Our outing in May should be fun and I look forward to seeing you all on April 11th for  our next Sunday crop.

Look who visited my garden yesterday, he walked right up to the back window and had I opened it I'm sure he would have popped in and made himself comfortable!
