SCRAP WEEKEND 2010

What a great weekend and what a lovely bunch of girls.  Thank you all for making the weekend  a true  pleasure. It  was such a tonic. Lots of laughter, eating and a few interesting and serious conversations. Oh ,and somewhere in between we managed to do some scrapping. I apologise for the dreadful photo's, they do not give credit to the wonderful LOs and books that you ladies produce.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on the 7th  November and also those who were unable to join us at the weekend..  Maybe by then  Lynseys baby will have arrived. Very inconsiderate of him not to have arrived yet!!

I'm having trouble adding the photo's, I will add some more as soon as possible.

CONGRATULATIONS to Lynsey and family on the safe arrival of Callan.x

Letting me know.

In the last few months I have had some problems with knowing if there will be enough people attending the crops to cover the price of the hall. therefore , from next month I will send 1 e-mail, 1 week before the next crop. There will be no other reminders other than the MK Scrappers blog. I just don't have the time to be chasing people up two or three times.

Anyone who has not contacted me by the Wednesday prior to the crop will not be included in the numbers.  It is also important that you do not say you are coming unless you are sure, barring emergencies, that you will be there.

By the Wednesday, if there are not enough people to cover the cost,  I will cancel the hall and those who have said they are coming will meet at mine or Rachaels' house.

It will  then be up to each person who has not contacted me to see, via the blog or by e-mail to me( I check my e-mails each day), if we are at the hall.  In  which case you will be welcome to join us.

Thanks  for your help in this.

Please see your e-mails re. October crop.

Sunday 5th Crop

The hall has been cancelled for Sunday.

Please check your e-mails.

OOPS!!

Sorry, I forgot to post the pictures from our last crop.  Here they are ( or at least some of them ).I haven't cropped them so, please excuse the expanse of table!
.

A couple of reminders,

The October crop is on the 10th.  This is the week before our retreat but I hope to still run this as some people are not able to attend the retreat this year .  As with all monthly crops  I need to know how many are coming to be sure we can cover the cost of the hall.  Please don't say you are defineately coming (bar fire, flood  or tempest) if you are not sure. You can always check this blog to make sure we are at the hall and then can join us at the last moment. If there are only a few of us we can fit in my house or Rachaels and then nobody is out of pocket.
All donations for cakes over the next few months will be going into the fund for my daughter Lindsays' fund raising efforts for her charity run in next years London Marathon.  She has to raise at least £1300 !

Our next crop is September 5th, look forward to seeing you all then.

August crop

Please let me know by Wednesday if you will be coming to the crop on 8th August. Comment on here or e-mail.

If you are coming on the October retreat you will probably have had an e-mail from Rachael.  Just in case you have missed it.... final payment is due by the crop date.

Thank you.

Here are the results of...

todays crop. Another great day Ladies, productive and fun.  I doubt any of you will be stepping on the scales tommorow morning after all the cake that was consumed!!!

Anyway, here are some of todays LOs.

I think Hannah deserves a special mention for the above LO and a  medal for patience and perseverence.  The background paper is all totally handmade by her from seperate strips !!!

N.B.  Some of these LOs are scraplifts but I'm afraid I don't know who to credit. The Seaton Tram LO was lifted from the  UKS Home page.
